Owner, Consultant
My name is Jaclyn Wood, and my company, Gold Star Safety Services, is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where I live with my husband Dave and our beautiful daughter Scarlett. I have spent the last 18 years as a Health & Safety expert in construction (marine, residential, commercial high-rise), heavy-duty manufacturing, food manufacturing, and metal recycling. In 2016, I transitioned into my own consulting firm where I work with companies across Canada and the United States.
My Expertise
My passion for safety drives my desire to consult with other companies to implement services that will decrease their incident and injury occurrences, build strong and dynamic health & safety Programs while helping them to build a strong safety culture.
My certifications include:
CHSEP from the University of Fredericton
A Radiation Safety Officer (Stuart Hunt and Assoc.)
CSO from BCIT and a Level 3 First Aid Attendant
Fall Protection Trainer (Fall Protection Group)
Forklift Operator Trainer (IVES)
Currently pursuing the CRSP designation (Canadian Registered Safety Professional)
